Wisconsin Transit & Realty Group (WTRG) is developing a revolutionary high-speed transportation solution for Southeastern Wisconsin—a modern commuter rail system connecting Kenosha, Racine, and Milwaukee (KRM) with a SMART City development platform that will transform our region into a powerful economic force. The KRM rail line will also connect to Chicago.
OUR VISION
We're revitalizing the long-planned KRM commuter rail corridor with a unique public-private approach that bypasses previous political gridlock. Our project will:
Connect communities along Lake Michigan to major job centers, educational institutions, and cultural attractions
Create modern, hydrogen-powered commuter rail service with connections to Chicago
Develop vibrant Transit-Oriented Districts (TODs) at 27 station locations
Generate over $10 billion in economic growth across the region

FEDERAL PARTNERSHIP
The WTRG project has been accepted into the Federal Transit Administration's Capital Investment Grant program, with the federal government committed to providing 80% of the funding through grants and loans.
